So what I'm now thinking is to backup my win7 ultimate key.

Install win 7 ultimate on new pc

insert backed up key from old win7 to new

update as current using wsus

upgrade to win 10 pro

Then go from there.

What do you guys think?

Shopping basket error?  ;)

But otherwise an excellent setup! :headbang: Do you have the R9 280X in crossfire now 2? :)

Install win 7 ultimate on new pc

insert backed up key from old win7 to new

update as current using wsus + install the necessary drivers

backup an image of the whole win 7 ultimate setup to another HD

upgrade to win 10 pro ,choose 'keep nothing',activate after the install and then remove windows.old and other stuff by running cleanmgr as admin

then go from there

I added a few extra steps which I would do... ;)

Thanks for the extra steps.

I can't wait to get this system.

Only running the one r9 280x for the moment, if i need to ill either buy another or upgrade (depends) but the idea of this system is lots of room for upgrades on top of a already beasty system

I'll probably go xfire as the card will be cheaper than a full out upgrade and could do quad xfire as i've bought enough power for it..

When it gets here pics will be uploaded (many pics)

I just can't wait to see how speedy it is with 2 SSD's and  2 HSSD's (raid 0'd)
