Hey all,

I wanna try and experiment with a Linux Live CD/USB,

Since there is so many distro's, which Distro do you all think I should use???

I appreciate the feedback!

Netrunner is a good full featured one to try. Works fine as a LiveCD and you can use on USB with Rufus.

Ohh :love4:  Dave, you beat me to it. Thanks for linking to the thread I started. ;)  NetRunner is the best Linux OS I have ever seen. It runs great in Live-Mode too.

There's a handy site which asks you a few questions and the output is a list of Linux distro's that are applicable to you, this includes live-cd/live dvd if you chose  that option.

I wanna thank everyone for puttin in their suggestions, so i went with the test that Hottwire had in his post and found that to be really helpful.

I ran thru the short test and it recommended Fedora as the 1st choice/best match so I think ill go with that,

i see a lot of you mentioned Netrunner so I may have a go with that as well, I also heard about FreeBSD which is what the PS3 system was derived from so I may tinker with that as well, ill post an update soon as i get my systems up and running!

Stay tuned..

the bueaty of linux is that there so many different flavours to try.

If you find one you like then you can look for other distro's of that type and learn how to make it what you want  it to be unlike windows.Yes there maybe a sharp learning curve at the start but within a few weeks you get the drift and most things can be done quickly and almost pain free ( and so few reboots when you install software and updates)
