Yes, the original screenshot is somehow related to the name of our site. :D In my oppinion it is the greatest media player ever created for Windows operating systems. If Microsoft ever needed to re-write the Windows Media Player software code from scratch, they should hire the developer of PotPlayer.

PotPlayer has a 32 and a 64 bit version, each can use the same skins. The 32bit version is updated sometimes faster - and beta versions of it are published more often, while 64bit versions mostly get stable releases published.

I will update this thread as often as possible and as soon as new versions are released.

Yes, you do if you handle huge video files. 64bit video players are not just a whim. I posted a tool that can handle a LOT of video file types with various sizes. A 64bit version lets you fully use your computer hardware abilities. I know some video processing experts who use PotPlayer to check their videos and video files specs.

Yep, pot is the best one and my backup player is MPC.

I don't install codec packs since win7 and really no reason for them now adays. The good players have the codecs built in.

well its an all in one player package , its a lot smaller, and plays everything with higher quality without setup , it configures everything for you and uses fewer resources

potplayer 18.8Mb

KCP 16.6 Mb  :P

KCP actually contains MPC Media Player - a nice choice, it just does not offer enough customization.

As for quality from the start and the auto-configuration: some people who like having "exotic" hardware configurations and experienced users, like many of us here, don't really like "auto-stuff" too much - we may need to tweak certain things. But I'm happy for you: you found a solution that you like - enjoy it. ;)  :occasion14:

I've never heard of this media player, but I downloaded the 32 bit and the 64 bit to give each a try.  Thanks for the offer and your continued updates.
