When I click on start/All Programs a software program that  I have installed on my computer is not shown.

In fact while I was installing the software a message came up and said that a newer vs was available and wanted me to install it which I

did.  Now when I click on the short cut icon for this software the old version comes up  with the same window that stated a newer

verson is installed on my computer but it will NOT load.

I can't find the old version to delete it.   How do I get rid of this completely and all traces of it.

Thanks

Right click on the short cut icon and choose open file location.

Will show you where it is. You can use Revo Uninstaller to completely

remove it from your computer.

Do a restore from your backup you made before you tried to install the program. What you don't have a backup?

You can buy a 1TB external USB for $60. PLEASE PEOPLE, DO BACKUPS.  :banghead:

You can always create a restore point before installing new programs...... :)

I'd use Revo (preferably) or even via Windows Programs and Features in control panel and remove any versions of the program listed , then install the latest and greatest (Just in case there are any conflicts from having two versions installed)

Many program do not removed the old program (they do not update) they install new, in the same original folder but the new is /2/and not all program install where you think they go. so yes, find the shortcut, right click and open location, and if that is a  shortcut also right click to open location.

then you can find where to REMOVE it from, I use 2 or 3 different methods.  I'm sure you have your favorite.
