AFAIK your max resolution is 854x480. Increasing DPI will only increase sharpness and battery drain. Your J3 has a higher resolution 720x1280.

Best bet would be factory reset. Not sure how (never used Coolpad) but should be somewhere in your Settings.

Factory Reset via Settings:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset
  4. Tap “Factory data reset
  5. In case your device is protected by a lock screen, enter your PIN / password / pattern to proceed
  6. Tap “Reset Phone” to confirm

Factory Reset via Android System Recovery:

NOTE: In case you are unable to reset the phone using the method above, alternatively you can try resetting the phone from the Android System Recovery menu, which can be accessed by performing a combination of button presses.

  1. Make sure the phone is turned off
  2. Press and hold “Volume Up” and “Power” at the same time
  3. When the phone turns on, release “Power
  4. At the “Android System Recovery” screen, release “Volume Up” too
  5. Press “Volume down” to navigate the menu and highlight “wipe data / factory reset
  6. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
  7. Use “Volume down” to highlight “Yes – erase all user data
  8. Press “Power” to confirm
  9. Once the reset is complete, “reboot system now” should be highlighted
