Malwarebytes 3 hangs Windows 7 shutdown

Customer did a shutdown, hung, she turned off power, dead machine.  Luckily, safe start worked, repeated issue, deleted Malwarebytes 3, all protections were turned on., shutdown works.

Works great on win 10, win 8.1 and win 8, scanning is really fast to, I like it so far...

 

I installed it on a friends win 7 with no issues at all...

I had issues with Malwarebytes on 10 RS2.  Had to forcefully uninstall it with Revo as the regular uninstaller did not work.

MBAM 3,x has failed on every version of Windows 10 Insider that I currently have Installed.

and it takes REVO x2 and 3 REBOOTS to even get MBAM 2 to install back.

It seems to be working OK on Windows 10 Enterprise N 2015 LTSB, this is the 'Privacy' stripped down version by Murphy 78... :)

How do I uninstall Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?

 


To use the utility:

Download and run mbam-clean.exe

Restart your computer when prompted.

Note: This tool will completely remove any settings you have configured, your license information, and anything else related to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. If you need to save any of these, please do not run this tool.

I have Corp on my LTSB 15, but test 3.0 on all other systems, only has massive issues for me on INSIDER. and worthless on 14986,

Simply got tired of trying to make it work on Insider and SCRAPPED the entire Partition.

did a RESTORE back to what I had working.  so HAPPY NOW.

For Reference Only - All my OSs are Enterprise.

I have noticed that it does not play well now with software that before had no issues.

I run a strictly "Sig free" config and Malwarebytes was used as a backup scanner or On Demand.

I have a lifetime key so I figured what the hell and updated it to the new 3.3 (at the time) and the

interface rarely would open, I reported it on the forums like a good user and shut it down and left it dormant.

After the 3.4 I was having issues with it while running HMPA, and W.A.R (WinAntiRansom)

but with the 3.4 update the UI worked far better, same issues after updating to 3.5 its not playing nice with

HMPA, W.A.R or VoodooShield.

I now have it dormant again and will retry it in a few months.

I don't have the time to properly test and see if the issue is HMPA or W.A.R maybe after the holidays I will sit down

and sort it out.

PS: If you have a valid key it will work in the 3.x versions, my key does.
