Welcome everyone to Beyond Windows 9  Android subforum. Digital RiverRat here. I'm (one of) the forum mod(s).

I am a journalist that writes mainly in the tech sector. I'm also working towards training myself to be an Android app developer. I own several Android tablets, a Samsung Star3 cell Android phone and a Samsung S2 Android phone. I'm also waiting on delivery of my 4th Android tablet, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.

Just a reminder for those posting in the group. No hacks, illegal workarounds, or cracks will be allowed in the forum. Neither will links to them.

You CAN however, ask if any are available, and, if we can, we will point out how to find what you're looking for.

What we're looking for in this forum is questions and answers regarding issues you have with the operating system, where it's headed, and how we may be getting there in the future.

We're also looking for tech support-type questions that users of the operating system may have.

We have a very knowledgeable user-base here a Beyond Windows 9, so we should be able to help you with most questions and issues you have pertaining to the Android OS.

Enjoy the group.

Yeah, eventually I'll get myself a sigfile to go on my posts. Eventually.  :histerija:

What I would like to see is an android os that I can connect easier to to my android phone.  Kind of like mac to the Iphone.

Sounds like a topic starter to me.

@m7mdnazzalo1
You have to re-word your question for a more exact response.
You have an Android - try Google Play as an official source of Android software.  The icon should be on your device in apps or on the lock screen.
Any other site, you are taking chances on trojans and spyware.

@ m7mdnazzalo1

By "Fix" you mean :

a/ repair

b/ install and/or upgrade

c/ develop

That would be useful to answer you

I fix PCs, however I do not believe there is a way to 'fix' android systems after there is a malware installed except a reset.  If you are registered with Google and your device is being backed up, when you do a reset, you will log on with your account and everything will come back with all your preferences.  Just be real sure where you are getting your software.  You'll stand a better chance if you stick to the Google Play store and not download third party apps.  Currently, the free and paid apps out there that claim to protect and clean your system have been only claims.  I have yet to see proof that they actually work.

Android 4.3 is being pushed out today.

Google Nexus devices first, naturally.  Just got mine, Jellybean 4.3, delicious!

This is a good idea man, glad to see the Android thread getting a jump start. I don't have much experience but if you have any questions or concerns I would be more then happy to help!

By the way, I am not sure if the guy asking for fixing android got it fixed but if not there is a way to reflash the whole system safely using ADB on your computer.

Everything you need to know on how to use ADB and what you will need to do it!:
