Here's a Stealth Version of NetRunner:

The Netrunner Team releases the first prototype of Netrunner SE 13.06.

SE stands for Stealth Edition as this version of Netrunner is shipped with privacy and
security in mind.
This means that you are able to use the Internet more securely and possibly
circumvent censorship. You are able to encrypt E-Mail messages with gpg and
chat securely with your friends via text, audio or video. You can encrypt files
and folders or use an encrypted home partition.
Netrunner SE 13.06 is build upon Netrunner 13.06 and comes with the following

Features and Changes (compared to Netrunner 13.06):
* Firefox with pre-configured Tor, FoxyProxy, HTTPs Everywhere and NoScript
(surf anonymously, surf onion links, circumvent censorship)
* Thunderbird with Enigmail
* Vidalia as Tor configuration tool
* Pidgin with OTR support for encrypted text chats
* Jitsi for encrypted audio & video conversations
* Kgpg for encrypting files and folders
* KDE SC 4.10.5
* Firefox 22
* Removed Skype
* Removed kfilebox
* Removed KDE-Telepathy
* Removed Konversation
* Removed WebApps
* New default Wallpaper

Note: after posting the thread I noticed that the forum section is now called Best Windows Freewares - since there is no simple "Just freewares" section, I posted it here. The mods can feel free to move this thread to any section they see fit.

You put her in the correct spot  Dahaka!  :headbang:   Thanks!

If you remember, I requested that we move it from VIP area testing to here, and labeled the main listing Operating Systems (Not Wndows), obviously.

I felt a need to get this into the members area and with 720 views and the hottest listing in the freeware section proved my instincts correct.    :biggrin:

If M$ doesn't get their act together, systems such as this will only increase in popularity, use, features and capabilities.

 If MS messes up with Windows 8.1 again :banghead: , then NetRunner is the way to go. :headbang:

May be interesting to start a thread in the VIp section on the security of  open source operating systems.

Yeah, no kidding :biggrin: http://www.beyondwin...h-edition-1306/

Though I'm certainly NOT anti-windows, I'm open to an windows like alternative, as I'm sure most of the desktops users are nowadays after the touchscreen apps debacle, resulted in, 'WTF am I using'?
